KASUMI IWAMA

This is a small paper flag of Japan that I froze in a chunk of ice. I placed this on the asphalt on the street in Tokyo, at the peak of summer heat. Every year, the summers n Japan get more and more unbearable. As if to mirror the hell-like weather, the political climate in Japan has been getting equally unbearable, and more and more apparent. The video is meant to be a representation of how I felt the country would end up if we continued the way we were, both regarding the physical climate as well as political.
